We took Sylvie to the brand new spray park that opened up this summer. It's free, and it's pretty great. It was very hot today and we thought it was the perfect opportunity to let her cool off without having to pay admission to the pool. But silly us, we forgot how much Sylvie dislikes getting her face wet. She loves pools and will go as deep as she can without letting her face get wet, meaning that at our community pool she's usually walking around with the water up to her neck and chin, giggling and squealing the whole time. But for some reason with sprinklers of any kind she just gets nervous and very cautious. She still had a great time today though, even if she was the only kid that remained bone dry!

Staying in the dry zone of the rainfall.

We showed her these big water guns and she was pretty much hooked. She was able to participate in all the fun but still remain dry!

Apparently she doesn't think much of spraying water all over another kid's face.

We were really proud of her here as she dips her toes in and allows some water to touch her body. She was still completely dry when we left the park, but she had a blast anyway.
