And yet another milestone reached!

We went to the Party Gym today, a local toddler play gym with ball pits, trampolines, huge slides and other various amusements. Sylvie ran around non-stop for 2 hours, at which point she practically collapsed into my arms from exhaustion. One of her favorite spots at the Party Gym is the mini-carousel, which you can see below. Sorry for the crappy photo, I only had my camera phone with me.

This carousel is one of two rides in the gym that requires money, everything else is free and included with the admission price. And what the kids especially love about this particular ride is that all it takes is one parent to put the 50cents in the machine, and up to 4 or 5 kids can squeeze on for the ride. Sylvie caught on quickly, and she knew to run over and hop on when she saw the ride starting.

Well at one point Sylvie came running over to me full speed shouting "Mommy!! I need money!!! Can I have money Mommy? I need it! I need money to ride the horsies!! I want to ride the horsies Mommy, I need money!!" and over and over and over again! I almost fell off the little chair I was sitting in. My 2 year old baby just told me that she NEEDS money! Oh my goodness! And so it begins....

And another cute little moment from the gym: Sylvie proves that she still doesn't have a firm grasp on her depth/height perception, as she uses her at-home technique for hand washing:
