Peas!!

After dinner tonight the three of us sat around popping edamame beans (or "peas" as Sylvie calls them) out of their pods. We normally eat them shelled so this was the first time we've ever had to pry open the skin and do it ourselves. And it's so much fun! We quickly started a game of squeezing the pod just right so the bean would go flying across the table and Sylvie would scramble around to find it and eat as fast as possible. Here she is getting ready for the bean to pop out:

It's kinda hard to see in this picture below, but the bean is mid-air in the upper middle part of the photo, while Sylvie opens wide to try and catch it. She was WAY off, the bean actually plopped down on the table near my hand. Good try though!
