Bridal Partay

So did I mention that the purpose of our trip to Alexandria was to meet with John's sister Amanda and her bridal party? Amanda and Patrick got engaged a couple of months ago, and are planning an April bash. Sylvie knew we were going to see Mimi and Aunt Amanda, and asked me several times during the day on Friday if she'd see Papa (aka Tony, Mary's husband) and Patch-ick (aka Patrick). You see, we have 4 photo magnets on our oven, each with a picture of Mary, Tony, Amanda and Patrick. Sylvie loves her magnets and plays with them just about everyday. So I think Sylvie thinks they're a matching set...you don't see one without the other three!

Once I explained to her that this was a girl's day she was on board. And later in the day when we slipped a little flower girl dress over her head she seemed to find her inner starlet.

She was so impressed with herself, she twirled and frolicked and rolled around on the floor of the dressing room. It was adorable and hilarious and we all loved it. I just hope she doesn't roll around on the floor on April 25th, when she should be walking down the aisle!

this was the most precious moment i've ever encountered w/sylvie. as soon as she put the dress on she just acted like a little princess!!!! i didnt think her eyes could get any bigger or bluer than they already are but they sure did with one glance at herself in the mirror. Im sure she loved the 8 ladies in the room with her laughing and clapping and egging the whole show on. Loved it. Cant wait to see her do it again on April 25th!!

I'm just testing to see if I can get my comment published. Loved all of these pictures........wish I could have been there and watched her reaction to everything.

Well, it didn't come out the way I wanted it to. Let's give it another try.
