It's been HOT around here lately...a real Northeastern heat wave! Luckily, the house where Kacey works has a beautiful pool. Since I am working shortened days on Fridays this summer, we were all able to cool down together.

Here's Syl clinging on for dear life..

Wave pool!!

Kacey here, I just wanted to add a quick note to this post. Basically just to say THANK GOD Sylvie has her father in her life, to throw her around and make wave pools with her and do these type of typical Dad things. Sylvie was pretty scared in the pool at first and was clinging to me, not wanting the water to touch more than her feet. She felt safe on the body board but was pretty hesitant when John took over the reigns, undoubtedly because already in her 2.5 years she's figured out which parent is gonna push her comfort level a little! Anyway, I was watching them thinking "no John, she's too scared" but not saying it, she was looking like a deer in headlights, and John was looking like a crazy man if I'm gonna be honest here. And then within about 0.5 seconds Sylvie started smiling, and then laughing, and then screaming and hollering and whooping and splashing and (insert any other adjective here to describe having the time of her life). These pictures didn't even capture the full extent of their little frolic, at one point I SWEAR that he had her 6 feet above the water.

GREAT pictures!!!!!!
Whatt a great way to spend a little time on a hot day......just goes to prove that what you might have been frightened of before trying it, nay turn out to be one of your favorite funtime things to do. Sylvie looks like she really enjoyed all the water play.
