When Amanda first told us that she wanted Sylvie to be one of her flower girls I envisioned this big grown up 2.5 year old girl, with long flowing hair and lots of hairstyle options. I'm not sure what I was thinking! Sylvie's hair, while adorable of course, is decidedly difficult and slooooow growing. She's got cowlicks all over the place (like her daddy) and her hair is so thin and wispy it just does its own thing. We figured at the very least her bangs could use a trim, and maybe the hair dresser could reign in her mop top and at least clean it up a bit. We were a little nervous about how Sylvie would react, since the last time she had a professional cut was just about a year ago, and she sobbed and clung to me the entire time. But I guess she is growing up, because this time she sat like quite the big girl and seemed to enjoy the pampering! She loved her little plastic smock and really loved watching herself in the mirror.

We celebrated with an ice cream sundae and some grilled cheese. And her hair looks adorable!

She looks adorable! I'm surprised she sat so good.....I doubt that she'd remember her first haircut. She certainly wasn't frightened or she'd have never sat there so quietly. Can't wait to see how she looks in her flower girl outfit!
