Tuesday Night is Guest Blogger Night : Arts and Crafts

Kacey took Sylvie to their first "Mommy and Me" class today. Free-play, arts and crafts, story time and snacks. They both loved it! Here is Sylvie's first craftwork...How cute!

On a side note, Kacey tells me that newcomer Sylvie staged a mini-rebellion of sorts. Apparently, during story time, Syl didn't feel the need to sit on the floor like the other obedient little boys and girls were doing. Sylvie grabbed a comfortable little chair, brought it over to the story time circle and took a seat on it. The teacher gently urged Sylvie to join her classmates on the floor, but Sylvie chose not to hear her (she's getting REALLY good at that lately...but that's a subject for a future post). Instead, following Sylvie's lead, the other kids grabbed their own comfortable little chairs for the remainder of story time. All power to the people!
Sylvie refused to take a nap today so by the time she got home tonight, it was Crank City. So she refused to sit still for any pictures. Here's one I edited a little bit...it's the best we were able to get:

By the way, 150th post of the Daily Syl today!

Editor's note: This is Kacey, editing this post to let everyone know that I've turned on comment moderation. All this means is that comments will not show up until John or I have approved them. Sorry for this annoyance, but we've been getting some spam comments lately and tonight got a particularly shocking one with a link to a VERY graphic adult website. That's not something I want someone accidentally stumbling upon from this sweet little blog!!! So my choices are comment moderation or having commenters do a word verification, where you have to type in a jumbled word that appears on the screen. This prevents spam comments. So actually, I'll leave it up to a vote. Do you prefer comment moderation or word verification? Leave a note!

Doesn't matter to me, what ever works for you.

Comment moderation is fine with me. Isn't it too bad that it becomes necessary to do that. Sylvie looks quite happy in the picture you were able to take, and I loved her hand prints, and the poem. Glad she enjoyed the class. On second thought, maybe word verification would be better. That way no one could comment unless you gave permission. Too bad there's so much slime in this world!

grrrrrrr! spam ba*&^%rds! comment moderation is preferable here...i hate those boxes cause half the time i can't make out what the words are! : ) when kristofer and i did a mommy and me they wanted to do his hands too, but he wouldn't spread his fingers (hmmmm, maybe cooperation issues are hereditary?) so we made them look like mittens, instead! we were probably the only ones who had a picture of mittens on our refrigerator in september! : )
