As soon as we walked into the theater, and she saw the Sesame Street logo and all the kids running around, she started squealing and skipping and just totally going out of her mind with excitement. When the lights went down and the characters started coming out onto the stage Sylvie had some momentary uneasiness and scampered up into my lap pretty quickly. But she just as quickly realized that this show was a really good thing, and she was captivated. The show was 2 hours long, with one 15 minute intermission, and the only time Sylvie got even slightly difficult and cranky was during the last 5 minutes of the intermission. She kept asking "where Big Bird go?"
So the show was really great, the prices were ridiculously jacked up (seriously, $10 for one balloon!), and the traveling was easy peasy. It was a great day, thank you so much Grandma Kathy. And no, I don't have any pics from the show. Along with the tickets were very specific instructions that cameras would NOT be allowed into the theater. I didn't want to risk my camera being confiscated, so I left it at home. Well, I'd say we might have been the only family there without a camera. Grrrr. I did have my little videocamera with me (it looks just like an ipod so I thought I could slip it in, rebel that I am), so I'm going to upload the videos now. Check back for an update.
But! Some pics from tonight! Sylvie plays with her Snoopy and Woodstock dolls, her Vday gifts from me and John:

And feeling the sentiment of the day, she lets them share a sweet Valentines day kiss:
