Sylvie and I spent all day with the kids today (their last day of winter break), and we had a really great day. Unfortunately I left the camera at home and missed out on lots of cute moments. Like Sylvie chasing the dog around the house, Sylvie jumping up and down all over the kitchen, or playing under the Christmas tree with Nicole and her new toys. It was a great day, but it was a long one, and by the time I got home it was almost Syl's bedtime. John had picked her up earlier, so she was very happy to see me when I walked in the door, but almost immediately started whining and crying for my nonstop attention. She does this thing now when John and I try to talk to each other, where she just yells "mommymommymommyMOMMY!!!!!!" until I look over at her and say "yes Sylvie?" At which point she of course never has anything to actually say, she just wants my undivided attention and she wants it NOW. We're trying to teach her patience and we're trying to teach her to say "excuse me" when she wants our attention and we're talking or otherwise busy, but it's kinda falling on deaf ears at this point. So in the midst of her whining and being somewhat challenging, I realized I didn't have any pictures from today for the Daily Syl! I ran to get the camera and I heard John telling Sylvie (with tongue firmly in cheek) "Hey Syl, cut it out and be cute for one second, okay? Mommy needs a picture and you better look cute and sweet."
Ha!

Ah!......poor baby. I think she's just had a very busy week, and it's starting to catch up with her.
You know how WE get when we've had a busy time. We 'know' why we're irritable, but she doesn't understand. Hopefully she felt better soon after that picture was taken, but if not, then maybe after a good night's sleep she'll be in a better mood. She had a busy day.
Don't worry Gram, in the very next picture that I took she was smiling and happy! Ah, the mood swings!
