Unfortunately the set up of the gym made it a little difficult to get a close view, and Sylvie had to stand on a bench to get any view at all. With lots of parents, siblings and other students running around Sylvie was much more interested in finding all sorts of trouble to get into. At one point she got mad at me, probably because I forbid her from climbing the wall of shoe cubbies or maybe because I had the nerve to forbid her from eating crushed crackers she found on the floor. And so she resorted to her typical Sylvie-being-pissed-off move:

That's right, she finds an open spot on the floor and lies face down and pouts. Sometimes she kicks her feet a bit in protest. It's half anger, probably a quarter shame and another quarter defiance. I always ignore this behavior, but tonight decided to snap a picture for the blog. I was giggling about it to Lauren when I noticed what you can't see in this photo: the faces of the parents walking around Sylvie in this picture. Apparently they didn't think it was funny. Whoops!

I think she wanted to be out there with Nicole doing her "thing" and wondered why it was that Nicole was having all the "fun". Why am "I" standing here while "she" gets to have a ball out there!
I have a photo of Stefanie in the exact same position at the mall when she wanted to ride the Merry-go-round a second time! I just told her "when you're ready to get up, I will be sitting over there on the bench". Within 1 minute she walked by me and said, "c'mon grandma we have got to get home!"
