It's all about the Benjamin, baby.

Sylvie and I spent the afternoon today in Princeton with Sue and Ben. Most of the time was spent at a little toy store, with both kiddies glued to the train table. Note to self: MUST buy a train set for Sylvie this Christmas.

We then decided to hook up with John for dinner. Both babes got a little tired and cranky by the end of the meal, and at some point John ended up wrangling both of them while Sue and I tried to get everything together so we could get out of there. It was such a cute Kodak moment that I had to whip out the camera. This picture was snapped about 2 seconds before John's desperate plea "Kacey. I need help. NOW."

We got back to the house, where Ben immediately gravitated towards John's guitar. Regular readers of this blog will know that of course John was happy to oblige him.

We ended up digging out lots of musical instruments, resulting in much singing, much giggling, much bouncing, and tons of dancing.

Sylvie had a blast with Ben, and about 3 minutes after he left ran over to the door yelling "Ben! Back!" followed by sadly looking at me with a "Ben? Back?"

: ( i had really wanted to see those two! the pics are cute. is sylvie really that much taller or is it just the angle of the picture? by the way, was that a note to self? cause you know notes like that can cause meemahs and grammys and aunties and winnies to get all excited....

The end of the night was pretty rushed and with Sue and Ben having an hour drive home they ended up leaving very shortly after we got home. Sorry you missed Ben! Although probably a blessing because Sue just called me and she's on her way to urgent care because Ben has pinkeye. Uh-oh.

She also realized this morning that she accidentally took my keys with her when she left. Double Uh-oh.

Well kaymac, let's see, mommies and daddies can afford little trainsets, but maybe Grandmas and the like can swing for the whole train table!

Hope that pink eye wasn't picked up by anyone in your family! Too bad your grandpa Jerry isn't here........he'd know just what train sets to pick out.....he loved them!

I'm always happy to oblige kids in the 5 years and under set.... that's my target demographic. You see, that is the group that actually thinks I've got mad skills. My guitar wizardry grows less impressive as the kids mature and develop more discerning tastes.
